Akshara is now 13 months old.

I can see her hair growing long and so are her brains. I guess, DHA is playing its best role in the brain development. :-)

But truly, its just fascinating for me and Karthik to see  her relating to things, communicating with people and understanding our simple instructions as Take, Give, Go, Come, Bye......and few more.

Last few weeks, I got totally busy with home activities, that I did not get time to update here.

So I am making a few notes now -

  • At 12 months, Akshara soon developed a taste and liking for other foods. She stopped troubling me; and would gobble off  mashed daal-rice, peanut butter bread, anything that was soft, warm and easy to gulp.
  • February 01, 2010 - Akshara got her first Upper Teeth; after completion of her 1 year and few days. (Thank U God to relieve me from people's enquiries). :-D. Following the first one; she got her second and third milk teeth on February 15 and February 20.

Thats her progress report!

Now let me note down few more interesting developments I see in her (after her completion of 12 months).

  • Before we leave our bedroom; Akshara runs back to the balcony; closes the door and then comes running to me (cue: lift her up). - She does it every time we have to leave the room; just as I do always. I stayed amused when she did it the first time. Nevertheless, children learn from what they see, they mimic their parents.
  • This one is even more interesting; and I and Karthik were spell bounded to see her grown. Akshara has a toy mobile; which plays music. That day, she pressed the button of her toy mobile; and when music played; she would go back; and take circles as if to 'dance on the tunes'. Once the music goes off, she would again press the button; and turn around n few steps here and there. I and Karthik smiled at each other; rejoicing our little Akshara growing beautifully.
  • When Karthik Paa returns back home; he gets the Best Welcome from her dear daughter. I guess, no one would be welcomed so lovingly; as Akshara does it everyday for her daddy. This is something a worth to watch and felt in heart.
Some cherishing memories for me, as her mother.
  • This period is an invent of mother-daughter bonding games; silly; yet she likes it so much - that she would keep on laughing, and make sounds out of excitement.
  • We have also begin to move out together at the parks; malls. When she is with me, she has her whole freedom to express herself; walking and running in the malls on her own. And other times, I would hold her tiny fingers so that she might not get away elsewhere.
  • All the times, when I feed her; she would too grab a bit of her (mum-mum) and put a chunk into my mouth too.
  • The best and sweet kisses that we give to each other periodically.
  • Our Quality dance steps together.
Its Akshara's effortless effort to laugh; to rejoice; to cherish, is bringing back the Liveliness and Innocence of my past times. Its my promise, my little girl, we shall remain Best Friends forever.

Love you,

Yours Mumma
